Since Israel, we have been to Cancun and I went to Nashville to get "fired up" on Financial Peace stuff at Dave Ramsey's. If you don't know about Financial Peace you need to log on to his web site -www.daveramsey.com - awesome.
The scenery in Cancun was very beautiful. We stayed at one of those "all inclusive" places and being thrifty, I ate too much and drank too much but had a really good time.
I took a friend of mine, who is blind, to get trained as a financial counselor. He has a heart to help others and, Lord knows, just about everyone needs help with their finances. He is amazing!

We are leaving for Fenwick Island in the morning for a week. Then on to Brooklyn to see Mike and Tracey. Then on to Ohio to see Rick/Nancy. Don/Glenda and Pat. Then onto Toledo to attend Uncle Dick's wedding. There will be a lot of memories on this trip. Shared memories and the people we meet makes for Happy Traveling.

Well, we have been in Israel for four nights and we have experienced Jesus in many places. It has been totally awesome. We leave in the morning for th Dead Sea and then on to Jerusalem on Tuesday for 5 nights. Being here absolutely makes the Bible come to life. 5,000 years of history is this place where God chose for his peolple. I'll be in touch.

At the Airport!

We are heading to the airport, bags are packed, Mike is here to take us to the airport. Travel Mercies for us. Keep the snow out of Newark, at least until after 4pm! We arrive in Tel Aviv tomorrow morning.

Excitement is Building

Kristen is coming in today! MJ and I are 95% ready to go - barring any last minute changes? Mary P is taking us to the airport and Mike P is picking us up at 11:30PM on the 7th. THANKS!

Beautiful day for packing!

MJ and I are starting to put together stuff for our trip - this is where the nerves start to set in for me - making sure we pack everything, but not too much, but not too little. We know we can always buy stuff we forget, but that doesn't seem to allay the concerns.
Our friend, Mike, is taking MJ, Kristen(our newly engaged niece) and myself to the airport on Wednesday morning. Kristen was engaged last week, on the 18th, but had been planning to go with us for several months now. She is a wonderful person and her fiancee is an extremely nic person as well. They are both in love with the Lord and each other.

One Day Closer to Israel

I have been reading about the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the history of that piece of land. The place of Temple built by King Solomon and so much more. Hard to believe that we will be there on March 4th. We arrive in Tel Aviv on February 25th and spend our first night in Jerusalem. The anticipation is building.

Life - An Adventure

This is my first post, hopefully not my last. MJ and I love to travel and we are excited about our next trip to Israel. We are traveling with 27 other people from our church, Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC. We will be walking in the same places where our Savior, Jesus, walked. Our pastor, Shelton Sanford, will be traveling with the group and leading us in Bible studies while we are there. Keep us in your prayers.
